On Thursday 18th December 2014, Bishop Alan joined in conversation with young adults
from the Diocese, reflecting on his own vocation and life as a Priest.
Bishop Alan has been a Priest for over thirty years, and in that time he has served
as a University Chaplain, a school chaplain, and a Parish Priest. He has also served
as head of his Religious Order (the Marist Fathers) and Director of the Walsingham
National Shrine to Our Lady.
In conversation, Bishop Alan shared what inspired him first to consider Priesthood,
his early years of Priesthood, and his lived vocation, with all its inspiration
and challenges over the last thirty years. There was an opportunity for some questions,
and also further conversation over a fish and chip supper.
